Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. (NYSE:NM) is a global, vertically integrated seaborne shipping and logistics company focused on the transport and transshipment of drybulk commodities including iron ore, coal and grain.
Navios operates the largest international fleet of very modern ultra handymax vessels, either owned or under long-term charter. The core fleet consists of a mix of the highest specification owned and six long-term chartered units each with a deadweight of between 50,000 and 55,000 tonnes.
Navios Holdings controls a fleet of 63 vessels totaling 6.4 million dwt, of which 40 are owned and 23 are chartered-in under long-term charters (collectively, the “Core Fleet”). Navios Holdings currently operates 59 vessels (19 Capesize, 19 Panamax, 19 Ultra Handymax and two Handysize vessels) totaling 6.0 million dwt. The current average age of the operating fleet is 7.6 years. Additionally, Navios Holdings has four newbuilding charter-in vessels expected to be delivered at various dates through 2016 and 2017.
