The Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, yesterday said that he expects current economic slowdown to be temporary.
Economy would soon rebound to higher growth trajectory, Mr Mukherjee said at the 91st annual session of Assocham here on Tuesday.
India has to target near double-digit growth in the not-too-distant future, he said. The country has to learn to sustain economic growth, Mr Mukherjee added.
India is projected to grow 6.9 per cent in current fiscal, lower than 8.4 per cent recorded in 2010-11.
