Peru's April oil output rises 4.4%

Peru produced an average of 69,399 barrels of crude oil a day in April, up 4.43% from the previous month, the government said.
State agency Perupetro said that Peru also produced 71,668 barrels of natural-gas liquids in April, down 12.8% from the previous month.
Pluspetrol Peru Corp. in April produced 33,641 barrels a day of liquid hydrocarbons from Block 88, one of the main blocks in the Camisea natural-gas field. Its Block 56 produced 34,025 barrels a day.
In April, Peru produced a daily average of 1.09 billion cubic feet of natural gas, down 7.73% compared with March due to increased sales from Blocks 88 and56.
The largest producer in April was Pluspetrol Peru Corp., with 577 million cubic feet a day from Block 56 and 468 million cubic feet a day from Block 88.
