Crude-oil supplies in the U.S. rose 2.9 million barrels in the week ended Feb. 10, the American Petroleum Institute said late Tuesday. The trade group also said gasoline supplies rose 1.8 million barrels, and stockpiles of distillates declined 2.2 million barrels. The report comes ahead of official data by the Energy Information Administration on Wednesday. Analysts polled by Platts expect the data to show crude inventories up 1.9 million barrels. Gasoline supplies are seen up 600,000 barrels, and distillates stockpiles down 600,000.
