In the first two months of 2012, Russia's exports of stainless steel products surged by 51.4% to 1,251 tonnes.
In addition, the country’s imports of stainless steel surged by 52.3% from a month earlier to reach 19,467 tonnes in February 2012.
Among them, the imports of stainless steel flat products rose by 61.6%; that of seamless stainless steel tube surged by 149.9% and that of welded stainless steel tubes increased by 85.5%.
