Another VLCC leaves the fleet

Jaccar Holdings concern Evergas has ordered four additional ethylene carriers at Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering Shipyard where the company already has an extensive newbuilding programme.
The vessels will be of either 12,000 cu m, or 17,000 cu m in capacity.
In the demolition sector, Tanker Pacific reportedly sold the 1989-built VLCC ‘Brilliant Jewel’ to Pakistani breakers for about $505 per ldt.
The Suezmax combination carrier ‘Princess Katherine 1’ was also reported as sold for recycling.
