Hiap Seng's unit in alliance with Cosco (SHANGHAI) Shipyard

Hiap Seng Engineering Ltd, a specialist integrated engineering group for the oil-and-gas, petrochemical and pharmaceutical
industries, today announced that its 87 per cent owned
subsidiary, HS Compression & Process Pte Ltd (HSCP), has entered into a Strategic Alliance Agreement with COSCO (Shanghai) Shipyard Co., Ltd (COSCO Shanghai).
COSCO Shanghai is one of the seven shipyards under the COSCO Shipyard Group, which specialises in newbuilds, ship repair and conversion, marine engineering and construction, as well as fabrication, conversion and repair of a range of FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading) projects.
Hiap Seng chairman and chief executive officer Frankie Tan said: "As we expand our presence in China and beyond, we aim to leverage on COSCO Shanghai’s expertise and its local knowledge and network.
"We look forward to adding our technological and engineering know-how to this partnership, engaging our specialist teams to collaborate with our partners to explore more projects."
