Gibraltar partially re-opens to bunkering as adverse weather eases
Bunkering operations have resumed at part of the port of Gibraltar, after it closed earlier because of bad weather, a spokesman for the port authority said.
“At present only the northern part of the anchorage has been re-opened for bunkering operations,” he said.
All operations were suspended Monday amid poor weather conditions. This followed partial, on-and-off closures last week.
The state of the sea around noon Wednesday was moderate to rough, with the forecast as slight to moderate during the afternoon and smooth or slight overnight, the port authority said on its website. The wind was easing slightly and becoming variable.
