7,600 DWT Cargo Ship Sold for CNY 23.30M on SHIPBID.NET

On May 24th, two ships were publicly auctioned on SHIPBID.NET. The 7,600 DWT general dry cargo ship named “Hai Xing Chuang Xin” (IMO: 9620358), which operates ocean-going voyages, was sold for CNY 23.30 million. The 18,000 DWT Bulk Carrier named “XI WANG ZHI XING” was sold for CNY 19.60 million.

In 2023, the global economy appeared to be entering a moderate recovery phase, but the outlook remained uncertain. Global shipping demand was expected to gradually improve. However, uncertainties surrounding COVID-19 still existed, and geopolitical tensions might continue to have a negative impact on the global economy.

But with confidence in the long-term steady recovery of the Chinese economy, over 20 shipowners participated in these auctions. And the “Hai Xing Chuang Xin” was sold with 60 times of auction offer.
