Algeria buys around 550,000 tonnes wheat in tender – traders
Algeria’s state grains agency OAIC bought around 550,000 tonnes of milling wheat in a tender which closed on Tuesday, European traders said on Wednesday.
It was bought at $261.50 and $262 a tonne c&f, they said. The origin is optional.
OAIC does not publish details of its grain tenders and results reported by traders are estimates.
The wheat was sought for shipment in two periods, Feb. 16-28 and March 1-15. South American origins can be loaded earlier between Feb. 1-15 and Feb. 16-28.
