Algeria buys at least 120,000 tonnes of wheat in tender – traders

Algeria’s state grains agency OAIC bought at least 120,000 tonnes of milling wheat at around $235.50 a tonne, including cost and freight in a tender, European traders said on Wednesday.

The total volume purchased was still unclear and could be larger than initial reports, traders said.

The origin of the grain was optional and shipment is required during May 16-31, the traders said.

The agency does not publish details of its tenders and results reported by traders are estimates.
