Aqaba container terminal welcomes visit from acting ambassador of Pakistan in Jordan

The CEO of Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT), Soren Jensen, recently welcomed a visit from the Deputy Head of Mission and Acting Ambassador of Pakistan in Jordan, Taimur Zulfiqar, and the embassy’s Trade and Investment Attaché, Khadim Ali.

During the visit, Jensen provided the esteemed visitors with an overview of the terminal, its history, and its latest operational developments and achievements. This included highlighting the ways in which ACT has worked to achieve greater efficiency for customers and stakeholders, as well as the ways in which it continues to support the Jordanian economy, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Both parties discussed a variety of potential opportunities for long-term cooperation and collaboration.

Commenting on the visit, ACT CEO Soren Jensen said, “It was a great pleasure to welcome Acting Ambassador Taimur Zulfiqar and Trade and Investment Attaché Khadim Ali from the Embassy of Pakistan in Jordan. Their visit allowed us the opportunity to elevate our fruitful relations with the embassy, and we hope to continue solidifying this partnership through long-term cooperation and collaboration—particularly as ACT builds upon efforts to enhance its sustainability, innovation, and our positive impact on the local economy.”

Since Jensen’s appointment as CEO of the Aqaba Container Terminal in May of this year, ACT has continued to proactively build upon its efforts to develop, enhance, and modernize its capabilities, in line with its positioning as the gateway of choice for the Levant region and beyond.
