BLUE cements partnership with Hagen PR to extend its offering in China, Korea, and Japan

BLUE Communications, the leading integrated communications agency for the marine and renewable energy markets, has announced that it has extended its partnership with Shanghai-based Hagen PR to enhance its offering to its global portfolio of shipping and renewable energy clients.

Asia is a critical region for global trade as a key shipping hub, as well as taking a leading role in the global development of solar, wind and other renewable energy power sources. However, reaching key stakeholders in China, Korea, and Japan from Europe or North America can be challenging.

Hagen PR has built up a team of experienced professionals to support clients with professional B2B media and Social Media communication services in the Far East. They also have unparalleled contacts among key marine and energy journalists, as well as expertise in regional-specific communication tools such as WeChat.
Now in its fifth year of partnership, BLUE and Hagen PR have collaborated closely to provide a seamless programme of PR and communications for several clients. Today’s announcement will see Hagen PR become an exclusive partner to BLUE for all marine PR, communications, and digital marketing services.

BLUE’s Managing Director Alisdair Pettigrew said: “For many years, we have worked closely with Hagen PR to offer our clients in the maritime and renewable energy industries the expertise and access to communicating in Asian countries.

“In recognising the challenge of reaching certain markets and stakeholders in Asia without a presence there, we have bolstered our partnership with Hagen PR to ensure we have the knowledge and network required to effectively reach and influence these audiences that are of high importance to our clients.”

Hagen PR’s CEO Bernhard Hagen added: “BLUE’s ever-growing team is always highly professional, and it has been a pleasure working in tandem with them. Increasingly clients based in Europe, North America, and other regions are seeing the importance of a nuanced approach to penetrating the different East Asian markets.

“Our specialist team on the ground can provide that and has a rich experience in the marine and renewable energy sectors.”
