Brazil posts all-time high agri-food exports during May
On Wednesday, Jun. 16 the Agriculture Ministry stated that Brazil posted all-time high agri-food exports last month valued at USD13.94 billion, a rise by 33.7 percent from a year ago.
The exports expanded 7.3 percent annually with regard to volume, said the ministry.
Analysts said as quoted by the ministry report that increasing international goods prices helped enhance the proceeds.
The report noted: “analysts note the pandemic ushered in a new era of commodity-intensive use, as governments emphasize job creation and environmental sustainability, rather than the financial stability brought on by the crisis in 2009.”
