C Transport Maritime Digitizes Onboard Technical Operations With Kaiko Systems

Kaiko Systems today announced a partnership with C Transport Maritime (CTM) to roll out its software on CTM’s entire fleet under technical management, consisting of 30 dry bulk carriers. By using Kaiko Systems’ software, CTM will be able to streamline crews’ manual technical operations on board and make routine operations such as inspection and maintenance more data-driven and proactive.

CTM is one of the world’s premier dry bulk carriers. With a rigorous and innovative safety regime, CTM has recently won the 2022 Safety4Sea Dry Bulk Operator Award. Their decision to implement Kaiko Systems followed an intensive trial phase. During the trial, it was proven that Kaiko Systems can provide insights on how the safety regime is being conducted, and reduce time needed on inspections for crews. In addition, the system structures the data into visualized insights, allowing shore teams to immediately identify potential issues and take action.

Efficient and data-driven onboard technical operations via mobile devices

“Speed and accuracy are key to technical management”, commented Francesco Canepa, Technical Director at CTM. “Kaiko Systems is able to verify and structure data into dynamic analysis automatically. This gives us visibility on how thorough our safety regime is carried out and allows us to identify off-hire risks and take action for our clients earlier. On top of which, the Kaiko Systems team is fast and eager to absorb new ideas to continuously improve their offering. We expect that working with Kaiko Systems will bring further improvements to our fleet performance and operational efficiency.“

Mr. Canepa also highlighted the level of transparency CTM can now bring to their clients: “With Kaiko Systems, it’s now possible for our clients to have up-to-the-minute assessment of their vessels at both a macro and a granular level. This can be overall condition rating, pictures, trends, and even the effort crews spend on maintaining the vessel’s health condition.”

Fabian Fussek, Co-Founder and CEO of Kaiko Systems, says of the partnership: “CTM is known for its competent people who consistently deliver the highest quality for their customers. Being able to win their trust is a testament to the value proposition of our product and the effectiveness of our rollout operations. Kaiko Systems provides much-needed solutions for ship managers and owners of all sizes. Companies working with us can expect convincing results immediately, rather than long research and development phases. This sets us apart from many other companies and solutions in the market.”

Kaiko Systems continues to grow

Kaiko Systems, a two-year-old technology company, is on a strong growth path. The solution is trusted by companies like Columbia Shipmanagement, Marlow Navigation, USC Barnkrug and others. To date, Kaiko Systems is being rolled out on over 250 vessels, with more than 10,000 inspections already successfully completed.
