CargoMate announce technology pilot with Konecranes

Maritime technology startup CargoMate has today announced a partnership with leading port solutions provider Konecranes to pilot their port call optimisation technology.

London, UK: Shipping technology startup CargoMate has been selected to partner with Finnish gantry crane and port solutions provider Konecranes to pilot their port call optimisation technology. The collaboration, which will begin in Q1 2019, will focus on using digital technology to minimise delays and idle time for container ships in port.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Konecranes on a port call optimisation pilot programme. It is incredibly exciting for us as a startup to find a partner who shares our vision for digitally enabled ships and ports and our passion for creating a safer, more efficient and environmentally sustainable maritime sector.” says Nick Chubb, Head of Growth at CargoMate Technologies.

Konecranes’ startup engagement programme, REACH, scouted over 2000 startups to find new technologies that could benefit their customers in ports and terminals. CargoMate was one of two startups selected for further collaboration after a selection day held at Konecranes’ headquarters in Hyvinkää, Finland.

CargoMate’s port call optimisation platform helps container ships to sail sooner, sail slower, and save fuel.
