Damen Marine Components (DMC) has received the contract to supply the rudders and steering gear for the fifth Infinity-class vessel to be built for SunStone Ships by China Merchants Heavy Industries to an Ulstein design. The Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ fleet is set to operate without heavy fuel oil

From July 2020 onwards, the global fleet of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will use marine gas oil with a maximum sulphur content of 0.1 % (LS-MGO) exclusively. In doing so, the company will cut the emissions of its fleet of both luxury and expedition ships significantly. With ABB’s shore connection technology, three Corsica Linea ferries will cut emissions and noise pollution when berther in the Port of Marseille, France.
