China approves coal mine with 6 mln T/yr capacity in Xinjiang

China’s state planner said on Wednesday it has approved a coal mine project in the western region of Xinjiang with a total investment of 3.6 billion yuan ($528 million).
The project will have a first-phase capacity of 6 million tonnes of coal per year.
