China’s approves two coal mines in Xinjiang region

China’s National Energy Administration said on Monday it has approved two coal mines in the country’s western Xinjiang region.
* The coal mines each have production capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per year, it said in an online statement.
* The administration said the projects would ensure stable energy supply, optimize the structure of the coal industry, and promote local economic and social development.
