China’s digital currency payment service for ports debuts in Liaoning

A digital RMB payment and settlement system was added to the existing payment platforms at the Dalian Port Network in Liaoning Province.

This is the first time that digital RMB settlement has been adopted at a port in China.

Customers can achieve online digital RMB payment and settlement for container handling at the port and for sea-railway transportation business.

Meanwhile, offline payments and settlements for container handling services at the wharf and sea-railway transportation business are also available through special POS machines for digital RMB and QR code scanning.

Digital RMB payments will benefit customers by reducing prepayment pressure as well as commissions generated via third-party payment.
