Chinese steel exports increase for third straight month in November

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that, the country’s steel companies recorded a third straight monthly rise in exports during November, stimulated by recovering demand in foreign markets.

According to the ministry, China’s steel exports increased 9 percent monthly to come in at 4.4 million tonnes during November and are projected to augment more during December.

The ministry said that, the competitive advantages of the country’s steel prices in the global market and the increase of foreign demand played a role in the rise in Chinese steel exports.

The country exported around 48.83 million tonnes of steel during the January-November period, a drop by 18.1 percent annually, whereas China’s imports climbed 74.3 percent annually to 18.86 million tonnes in the very period.
