The world’s largest LNG-powered container vessel to be bunkered in Asia The milestone voyage also saw CMA CGM JACQUES SAADE being fuelled with 6,801m3 of LNG at the port of Singapore for the first time. This makes her the largest container vessel to conduct ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operations in Asia. The CMA CGM JACQUES SAADE and the current deployed fleet of LNG-powered vessels demonstrate the CMA CGM Group’s commitment to energy transition in the shipping industry. Today, LNG is the most advanced solution when it comes to preserving air quality. This technology is one of the first steps towards achieving CMA CGM Group’s ambitious 2050 objective of carbon neutrality. The Group’s fleet of LNG containerships will grow to 32 by the end of 2022.
