Crewlinker: The Dutch Start-Up Making Waves in Maritime Recruitment with its Revolutionizing Online Platform

Founder Adam van der Veer and it’s co-founders Ivan Wagenaar and Tanguy Wagenaar are revolutionizing the recruitment process in the maritime industry with their online recruitment platform Crewlinker. The platform is designed to streamline the complexities of hiring seafarers, liberating seafarers and employers from tedious paperwork.

The maritime industry is facing a significant challenge in hiring skilled and experienced seafarers. With a vast array of skills and knowledge, vessel specific information and certificates to consider, the recruitment process can be both time-consuming and complex. The Dutch trio found out that there should be an easier way to recruit maritime personnel. Crewlinker was founded in 2021 to provide a comprehensive and reliable platform for hiring seafarers.

The start-up has quickly grown to 7,000+ crewmembers, with an additional 200+ joining each week. Crewlinker believes that seafarers deserve equal opportunities to find work, which is why they offer free registration for all crew members. Employers can also currently post job vacancies and access the platform for free, with future plans for paid access.

Crewlinker is continuously expanding its services to help employers in the maritime industry reduce the difficulty of finding qualified seafarers. The advantages of Crewlinker’s platform for employers include:

• Fast growing database with high quality maritime seafarers focusing on high quality data entry.
• An organized database of seafarers who meet the employers’ requirements with extensive matching possibilities (including specific vessel information) and AI driven matchmaking
• Marketing as a service: Crewlinker provides promotion of each vacancy to their extensive crew member network utilizing advanced marketing methods to help employers find the most suitable candidates.
