DNV GL certifies Hanseaticsoft’s Cloud Fleet Manager Maintenance module

Hanseaticsoft, a leading German-based maritime software provider has today announced that its cloud-based planned maintenance solution has been certified by DNV GL, highlighting its compliance with all recognized industry standards. This module was also recently certified by Lloyd’s Register.

Hanseaticsoft offers the planned maintenance module as part of its cloud and web-based ship management platform, Cloud Fleet Manager.

The module gives users complete visibility of the status of their fleet, enabling them to easily manage and control any maintenance jobs within their fleet and ensure they are carried out, while easing process control management.

The module allows for dynamic planning options, cash flow planning, as well as the ability to categorise and prioritise jobs, with the most relevant data displayed on a dashboard so crews can see the most important tasks and ensure they are completed. These are just some of the features offered by the software to help companies increase their productivity and efficiency.

By certifying a software, classification societies such as DNV GL or Lloyd’s Register confirm the solution has been thoroughly assessed and tested and it meets the industry’s highest standards and is capable of being used extensively by a shipping company.

Although there is a constant flow of new applications being introduced to the market, most do not offer the reliability and fully-fledged functionality a shipping company needs. Many times, the failure of systems leads to the need for cost-intensive repairs or in the worst-case scenario even endangers human safety.

During the last months, there has been a huge increase in demand for cloud-based solutions across industries to enable remote and flexible collaboration, since most companies still encourage their employees to work from home and presumably will continue to do so in the future. Microsoft for example, recently announced they will continue to enable their employees to work remotely at least until the beginning of next year.[1]

Alexander Buchmann, managing director of Hanseaticsoft, says, “To reliably navigate through the current economic situation and post Covid-19, it is vital for companies to choose technology solutions they trust. We are very happy to offer our software which is fully compliant with internationally recognised standards, as well as the rules and regulations required by the leading classification societies which should give our clients reassurance.“

In addition to the certification, Hanseaticsoft has successfully implemented the Veracity interface to its system, which is DNV GL’s platform for digital collaboration. With this implementation it is now possible for users of Cloud Fleet Manager to automatically submit maintenance data to DNV GL on a voluntary basis.
