Quote by Greg Atkinson: “I think when we are talking about meeting the IMO targets, one, they are not very clear when we are talking about emissions control, but if we accept that we are moving towards the CO2 reduction or CO2 neutral –they are different terms– I envisage that we are going to need a technology mix. One of the things I hear from ship owners is that they are looking sometimes for one propulsion solution and I do not think it is going to work out that way. I think we are going to move towards an electrical propulsion and then, once you have an electrical propulsion, you have an electrical grid and you can start plugging-in different propulsion solutions.”
