Egypt has vegoil reserves until February 2022

Egypt has vegoil reserves sufficient to last until the end of February 2022 following its latest tender purchases on Thursday, September 2nd, Reuters reported.

Egypt’s state grains buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), brought 63,000 tonnes of oil, including 29,000 tonnes of imported soyoil and sunflower oil and 34,000 tonnes of local oil.

GASC had bought 10,000 tonnes of soyoil and 19,000 tonnes of sunflower oil in an international tender for arrival between October 20th and November 5th.

GASC also held a separate local tender for 3,000 tonnes of Egyptian-produced soyoil and 1,000 tonnes of sunflower oil for delivery in the same period as the import tender but with payment in Egyptian pounds.
