Egypt’s GASC says buys 470,000 T of wheat in tender for Dec. 11-20 delivery

Egypt’s state grains buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), said on Friday it has bought 470,000 tonnes of wheat in an international purchase tender.

GASC bought 350,000 tonnes of Russian wheat, 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat and 60,000 tonnes of U.S. wheat for delivery Dec. 11-20.

Traders gave the following breakdown of the purchase in dollars per tonne:

* ECTP: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $230.00 and $18.80 freight equating to $248.80 C&F

* GTCS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $234.99 and $16.94 freight equating to $251.93 C&F

* GTCS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $234.99 and $18.18 freight equating to $253.17 C&F

* Cargill: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $234.27 and $18.83 freight equating to 253.10 C&F

* Daewoo: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $234.99 and $18.18 freight equating to $253.17 C&F

* Aston: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $234.99 and $18.18 freight equating to $253.17 C&F

* Louis Dreyfus: 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat at $234.58 and $18.59 freight equating to $253.17 C&F

* Cargill: 60,000 tonnes of U.S. soft red wheat at $218.5 and $35.47 freight equating to $253.97 C&F
