Extension Of Free Storage Period For Imports At BMCT

Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals continues to operate as normal, providing one of the Essential Services highlighted by the Government of India, with added safety and hygiene measures in place. With the COVID-19 situation, many users are currently facing difficulties in arranging transport to evacuate containers from our terminal due to a shortage of manpower and resources.

To assist the trade and end-users, BMCT is extending the free storage period of ALL import containers, laden and empty, for an additional 3 days until 31st March 2020. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will review this again before 31st March 2020, depending on utilisation and other factors. Alongside you, we are doing our utmost to keep the trade moving in these difficult and unprecedented times and express our thanks in advance for your close cooperation.
