First LNG cargo from Australia’s Prelude delivered to S Korea’s KOGAS

The first liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo to be loaded from Royal Dutch Shell’s Prelude project in Australia has been delivered to Korea Gas Corp, according to a KOGAS spokesman and shiptracking data from Refinitiv.

The 70,000 tonne-cargo was purchased on a spot basis by KOGAS and delivered on June 27, the spokesman told Reuters.

The cargo on-board the tanker Valencia Knutsen was discharged at KOGAS’ Tongyeong LNG terminal after being loaded from Prelude facility on June 11, shiptracking data showed.
