Construction of subsea pipeline from north of Hong Kong Link Road to south of Soko Islands

For approximately six weeks, construction of subsea pipeline will be carried out along the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (N):

(B) 22° 16.563’N 113° 51.178’E
(C) 22° 16.023’N 113° 50.886’E
(D) 22° 15.264’N 113° 50.263’E
(E) 22° 14.883’N 113° 50.030’E
(F) 22° 14.215’N 113° 49.741’E
(G) 22° 13.750’N 113° 49.622’E
(H) 22° 13.273’N 113° 49.653’E
(I) 22° 12.167’N 113° 49.904’E
(J) 22° 11.641’N 113° 50.131’E
(K) 22° 11.220’N 113° 50.539’E
(L) 22° 08.793’N 113° 53.885’E
(M) 22° 08.609’N 113° 54.311’E

The works will be carried out by one special purpose vessel. One tugboat and two guard boats will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around the special purpose vessel will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights and radar reflectors will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the special purpose vessel.

The hours of work will be round-the-clock.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operation will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the works area at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the area.

Marine works at Urmston Road

For approximately three months, marine works involving preparation works for the subsea pipeline laying will be carried out along the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22° 25.312’N 113° 53.631’E
(B) 22° 25.150’N 113° 53.056’E
(C) 22° 24.873’N 113° 52.572’E
(D) 22° 24.416’N 113° 52.287’E

The works will be carried out by one special purpose vessel. One tugboat and two guard boats will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 100 metres around the special purpose vessel will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights and radar reflectors will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the special purpose vessel.

The hours of work will be round-the-clock.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

Updated restrictions for international arrivals
Thursday, April 22, 2021, Turkey

All passengers arriving in Turkey through third countries who visited Brazil, South Africa or India within the last 10 days will be quarantined for 14 days following their arrival.

At the end of the 14th day, they will be subjected to a PCR test. If the test result is negative, quarantine will be lifted. Passengers aged 6 years and above under these conditions, must submit a negative Sars-Cov-2 PCR test result done within 0-72 hours prior to departure, before boarding.

GAC Turkey is seeking clarification on whether seamen are exempt from this restriction. Indications are, subject for formal confirmation, that seamen will be exempt.

Brazil, South Africa and India have been added to the list of countries considered to be risky by Turkey. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom and Denmark have been removed from that list.

Annual escalation of Scale of Rates
Thursday, April 22, 2021, Chennai, India

Since Chennai Port Trust has achieved the performance standards for the year 2020, 0.55% will be escalated in the existing Scale of Rates for the year 2021-22.

The existing Scale of Rates, viz all vessel related charges, stevedoring and C&F charges and Miscellaneous charges, excluding Estate Rentals, License (Storage) fee for allotment of land on vessel arrival and Mandatory User Charge for LDB Services will be escalated by 0.55% with effect from 1 May 2021.
