Infoship Performance gets stronger and comes out with a new software release

Arribatec Marine releases a new version of its solution, Infoship Performance, for a more efficient fleet operations’ performance and a wiser emissions control.

Infoship Performance, the software solution developed by Arribatec Marine (previously known as IB Marine) and designed to optimize vessel operational performance, voyage management and support decision-making process for any fleet, sees the light today with a robust new release.

The solution, which in the previous versions already included specific features aimed at monitoring and reducing vessels’ consumptions and emissions, now supports even further the identification of potential actions for fuel savings and environmental compliance.

One of the biggest enhancement is on fuel change management functionality. Infoship Performance can manage different configurations according to the fuel in use in a single engine, boiler or any other equipment, and report data from the fuel exchange, which results into a better ability to work on accurate models to predict ship fuel consumption under different scenarios.

According to the new international regulations about emissions, the system is equipped with features to generate and calculate information of seven new kind of pollutants from the family of particulates, oxides and dioxides that need to be monitored.

Concerning the fuel consumption and related to the ECA Areas, the system includes the latest amendments foreseen by South Korea MOF, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and China Maritime Safety Administration.

A special focus is on the LNG sector with the brand-new feature: the Heel Calculator for LNG carriers.

The Heel LNG is the small amount of liquefied natural gas remaining on board a vessel (or storage) after discharge of the regular LNG cargo, often used as fuel on a ship’s way back. This tool allows to calculate how much of the Heel LNG is needed to leave in the tanks to guarantee the vessel has the necessary fuel in the ballast voyage.

Embracing the new 2030 zero-carbon goal and the high bunker prices, it is necessary and urgent for any shipping companies to operate in a more greener way while still satisfying global trade demand and staying cost-effective. Now, more than ever, Infoship Performance can help in staying competitive and compliant.
