The Maritime Authority of Jamaica (MAJ) is pleased to advise of the appointment of William Nock of Jamaican Yacht Registration Services as a Deputy Registrar. Mr Nock will represent the Jamaica Ship Registry for the registration of yachts in the USA market space with effect from August 30, 2022.

Will Nock is a maritime professional with 20 years’ experience in the maritime industry. Having worked for ABS as a surveyor focussing on new and after-construction surveys he then joined a leading mega yacht and ship registry where he rose to the level of senior executive. Mr Nock will be assisting mega yacht owners with vessel and mortgage registration and general regulatory matters.

His appointment comes against the background of a realignment of the MAJ’s development strategy in this core market area.

MAJ Director General, Rear Admiral (ret’d) Peter Brady, commented: “Will is committed to using his experience in the maritime industry and his specific knowledge in serving the yachting sector in order to provide the superior service our clients have come to expect from the Jamaica Ship Registry. We are pleased to welcome him to our team.”
