Jordan gets no participants in 120,000 tonne wheat tender

No trading companies submitted offers in the international tender from Jordan’s state grains buyer to purchase 120,000 tonnes of wheat which closed on Tuesday, a government source and traders said.

The tender was cancelled.

Jordan has struggled to buy wheat and barley in the past few months after changed terms for quality specifications and payment reduced participation by international trading houses, though some recent tenders have been more successful.
