Jordan makes no purchase in tender for 120,000 T wheat – trade

Jordan’s state grain buyer has made no purchase in an international tender to buy 120,000 tonnes of milling wheat which closed on Thursday, European traders said.

Only two trading companies, CHS and Ameropa, participated.

A new tender is expected to be issued soon.

In recent months, Jordan has struggled to buy wheat and barley in tenders after new terms for specification and payment reduced participation by international trading houses.
