Leading International Arbitration Lawyer Joins Baker Botts in London
Poupak Anjomshoaa has joined the Baker Botts’ Litigation and International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Practices as a London based partner. Poupak has over twenty years’ experience in both disputes and transactional matters across the energy, infrastructure and construction sectors.
“We continue to add first class talent to our London office, which remains at a very exciting stage as the firm carries out its growth plans, and adds another leading international disputes and arbitration focused lawyer to its exceptional base,” said Andrew M. Baker, Managing Partner of Baker Botts.
Poupak practiced in the energy, construction and international arbitration departments of two major global law firms before going in-house for four years as the general counsel and company secretary of Carbon Holdings, a privately-owned developer, owner and operator of petrochemicals projects.
“Poupak’s international disputes and arbitration experience across the energy, infrastructure and construction sectors as well as her broad geographical practice and insights, having been in-house, will add immense value to the service we provide our clients. I am delighted that Poupak has joined Baker Botts,” added Mr. Baker.
“Poupak brings a wealth of experience to the firm. Her disputes and arbitration skills add significant benefit to our energy and construction sectors, and further strengthens the firm’s international capabilities, particularly across the Middle East and North Africa,” said Mark Rowley, Partner-in-Charge of the London office and a Global Projects partner.
“Poupak’s arrival, our recent lateral partner hires, and the promotion of Dorine Farah to partner in January, reflect the importance of the London office to the firm’s core practices and international strategy,” added Mr. Rowley.
“Baker Botts has a world-class international disputes and arbitration practice. Both its sector focus and international client base are a natural fit with my practice. I am excited to join the firm and to help further grow its petrochemicals, construction and energy practices,” said Poupak Anjomshoaa.
Poupak joins from Norton Rose Fulbright.
