Members of German Parliament Visit NYK Discussions included decarbonization strategy and ammonia fuel-related business

On May 29, eight members of the German parliament, all members of the Committee on Transport, including its deputy chairwoman, Nyke Slawik, visited NYK and met with NYK Executive Officers, Tsutomu Yokoyama and Atsuhiko Kurosawa.

The committee members sought to exchange information with NYK on its decarbonization strategy as Germany promotes the digitization and decarbonization of the country’s transportation infrastructure.

During the meeting, NYK explained its roadmap to 2050 net-zero emissions based on the NYK Group Decarbonization Story released in November 2023 and exchanged views on the following topics related to the use of ammonia.
