MMi Daily Iron Ore Index Report January 10 2019
Despite a lower DCE futures market putting pressure on traders to cut offers, mill demand has allowed for spot iron ore prices at port to hold up relatively well in North and East China. However, according to SMM, mill restocking in South China and in areas alongside the Yangtze River seems to be coming to a close. Some mills in East China even say they have built up inventories to about 80% of what they want to hold following the high rate of trade over the last few days.
