New 6300 TEU vessel for the Ignazio Messina & C. fleet

The Genoa based shipping company Ignazio Messina & C. finallized the purchase of a new 6.300 TEU capacity container vessel then taking delivery of it in the Singapore bay today.

This vessel, renamed Jolly Bianco, is a sister vessel of the jolly Verde that has been acquired in April last, and therefore is the second largest ship of the Genoese company: 283 meters long and 40 meters wide, is manned by a crew of 23 members, 17 of whom are Italian, including Captain Salvatore Cammareri from La Spezia.

Built in 2007, the Jolly Bianco boasts a total 6300 TEU containers capacity;, once repositioned in the Mediterranean in the next days, this vesselwill be deployed on the route to the Red Sea, Arabian Gulf, India, and Pakistan thus satisfying growing transport demand aimed at supporting exports to the Italian market..
