New annexes broaden scope of BIMCO Supplytime 2017

The BIMCO Supplytime contract remains one of the most popular and well used contracts of all of the offshore contracts drafted by BIMCO.

Members are reminded that the Supplytime contract was updated in 2017. Ursula O’Donnell was a member of the Supplytime 2005 revision subcommittee. For further information on Supplytime 2017, see the club’s previous news item which can be found in the link on the right.

BIMCO have published four special task annexes for Supplytime 2017 that cover activities which are not addressed in the main agreement. They cover:

• Helideck/Helicopter Operations
• Walk to Work Operations
• Extended Offshore Support
• Crew Qualifications

More annexes are currently under development, including annexes for dynamic positioning, remotely operated vehicles and diving platform operations.

The aim of the annexes is to assist users of Supplytime 2017, to ensure that the minimum requirements for specialised tasks and operations are properly covered when using the contract. However, the annexes may need to be amended or supplemented to suit particular projects. All of the annexes can be used with earlier versions of Supplytime, from 1989 onwards. However clause references contained in the annexes will have to be amended to refer to the correct clauses.
