New Course at MSA – Shipboard Safety Officer (UK Chamber of Shipping Recognised Course)

We are pleased to announce that the STCW Shipboard Safety Officer course has been added to our training portfolio and training sessions will be available from January 2022. We are very proud to have also gained UK Chamber of Shipping course recognition.

• Consider the accident investigation process
• Understand the importance of appropriate interviewing technique
• Consider factors influencing the effectiveness of safety committee meetings

About the UK Chamber of Shipping Recognition Service:
The UK Chamber of Shipping Course Recognition service is open to in-house or public courses delivered anywhere in the world. Through the scheme, they formally recognise training courses that are effective, quality assured and answer specific needs within the maritime industry.

Achieving recognition aligns our course with the UK Chamber of Shipping’s well-respected brand allowing it to carry a globally recognised UK Chamber of Shipping ‘quality mark’ on all materials.

We believe it significantly enhances the course profile and credibility in the marketplace whilst at the same time, giving access to a rigorous and highly detailed expert evaluation. The scheme is ISO9001 accredited and has the full involvement and support of the UK Chamber of Shipping, the trade association for the UK shipping industry.

Mark Jaenicke, Training and Performance Director says: “It’s a huge advantage for us to be independently verified and certified by an internationally recognised organisation such as The UK Chamber of Shipping. We believe we set high standards as a training provider and wanted to prove that by gaining course approved. Its great to add another course under the service and we must thank the recognition team at The UK Chamber of Shipping in providing a fantastic service”
