North Sea Forties crude May program up one cargo from April at 367,742 b/d
The North Sea’s largest crude loading program — the UK’s Forties Blend — is set to be one cargo longer in May month on month, according to a copy of the program seen by S&P Global Platts.
There are 19 cargoes of 600,000 barrels of Forties scheduled to load in May, with average loadings set to rise 7,742 b/d to 367,742 b/d.
Around 70 fields contribute to Forties Blend. The largest in terms of current output is Buzzard, which began production through the Forties Pipeline System in 2007.
Forties Blend is a medium sour crude with a sulfur content and API gravity that vary according to the percentage of Buzzard within the blend.
