Norway June oil and gas output beat forecasts

Norway’s natural gas output rose in June, beating an official forecast, while crude oil production also exceeded expectations, the Norwegian Offshore Directorate (NOD) said on Tuesday.

Natural gas production in June rose to 340.2 million cubic metres (mcm) per day from 322.2 mcm a month ago, and exceeded a forecast of 319.3 mcm by 6.5%, the regulator said on its website.

Crude oil output rose to 1.74 million barrels per day (bpd) in June from 1.70 million bpd in May, and came in above a forecast of 1.73 million bpd, NOD’s preliminary data showed.
