Port disruption at Ningbo, China

It has been reported that China has partly closed the world’s third-busiest container port after a worker became infected with Covid-19. All container services at Meishan terminal in Ningbo-Zhoushan port were halted on Wednesday causing delays and disruption. It is also reported that some ships are being diverted to other ports.

As published by the local authorities, a 34-year-old worker from Ningbo – Zhoushan port of East China’s Zhejiang province was found to be positive for the novel coronavirus on Wednesday (11th August 2021).
