Port Houston says two terminals experienced system failures as part of global tech outage

Port Houston said on Friday that two of its container terminals experienced major system failures caused by a global tech outage.

All systems were up and running with minimal delays to operations on Friday morning, it added. The two terminals, Barbours Cut and Bayport, reopened shortly after 9 a.m. CT (10:00 a.m. ET), the port said.

Vessel operations were not impacted, the port added.

The worldwide tech outage crippled industries from travel to finance before services started coming back online after hours of disruption.
