REFINERY NEWS ROUNDUP: Chicago gasoline prices rise on a spate of regional refinery outages

Midwest refinery outages have pushed up the price of refined products in both the Group 3 and Chicago markets, with Chicago CBOB posting an average quarterly price of $2.29/gal — the highest Q4 average since 2013 — on strong demand and refinery outages, according to Platts price assessments. PBF on Nov. 23 reported a fire at its Toledo refinery, which sources said took out one of the plant’s two crude units for about two weeks.
