Russia’s Surgut sells two Jan-loading ESPO crude cargoes

Russian oil producer Surgutneftegaz sold two cargoes of ESPO blend crude for early-January loading at the lower end of a range of premiums seen in the previous month, trade sources said.

It sold a cargo, loading between Dec. 31 and Jan. 5, at about $7.80 a barrel above Dubai quotes, while a second cargo for Jan. 4-9 loading was sold at a premium of about $7.60, sources said.

Details of the buyers were not immediately known.

Spot premiums for ESPO crude hit all-time highs for some December-loading cargoes, which traded at a wide range of $7.50-$9 a barrel last month.
