San Antonio Terminal Internacional received recognition for the second consecutive year for reducing emissions

Chile’s main port terminal, San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI), received the Huella Chile recognition from the Ministry of the Environment for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The certification, which was obtained for the second time, was achieved thanks to the project that involved replacing lighting fixtures in administrative offices and warehouses. This initiative avoided the annual emission equivalent to 11 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2e).

STI’s General Manager, Andrés Albertini, highlighted that “for the entire San Antonio Terminal Internacional team, environmental care is essential. We are the main port in the country, and our operational standards are in line with our environmental protection policies. In recent years, we have intensified our initiatives to promote an environmental culture at all levels, and this recognition reaffirms these efforts”.
