Speaking on the constitution of the new Board, Noah Silberschmidt, CEO, Silverstream, said: “Today marks an exciting and important next step in Silverstream’s journey as one of shipping’s leading clean technology companies, and as the pioneers of air lubrication for our sector. In David and Jesper we have added two technology experts with a deep knowledge of maritime, and their counsel will play an important role as we look to drive exponential growth for Silverstream at what is a crucial time for the industry.
“With ship owners now realising the benefits of our proven clean technology, we have strengthened the business appropriately to be able to respond to growing demand. I am delighted and excited to welcome our new Board members to our industry-leading team.”
In conjunction, Silverstream has also further strengthened its leadership team with two senior appointments. Matthew Negus joins Silverstream as Chief Financial Officer, whilst Jon Wheeler commences as Programme Director.
Matthew Negus started his career as an Audit Manager for Deloitte, before performing various roles across the financial sector. Matthew joins Silverstream from inkjet printer designers Inca Digital, where he was Chief Operating Officer.
Jon Wheeler joins Silverstream after an extensive career in engineering, automation and IT projects. Most recently Jon was Program Director for GE’s Power Conversion business division, where he was responsible for the development and execution of tidal lagoon energy projects.
Noah Silberschmidt added: “Matthew’s longstanding experience of managing the finance department of an international organisation, and Jon’s record of strategic development and programme execution make them both exactly the right appointments as we look to cement our position and provide more proven air lubrication technologies to owners and operators.”
