Taiwan tenders to buy 109,175 T wheat of U.S.-origin

The Taiwan Flour Millers’ Association has issued an international tender to purchase 109,175 tonnes of grade 1 milling wheat to be sourced from the United States, European traders said on Tuesday.

The tender deadline is April 23 and a range of wheat types are sought in two consignments for shipment from the U.S. Pacific Northwest coast.

The first consignment of 54,175 tonnes is sought for shipment between June 7 and 21 and the second of 55,000 tonnes for shipment between June 22 and July 6.

In its last reported tender on March 22, the Taiwanese association purchased 110,000 tonnes of milling wheat, also to be sourced from the United States.
