Tender Document for the operation of the Balboa Shipyard in Panama Compras

The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), in order to strengthen the auxiliary maritime services, communicates that it is already on the website of the Electronic System of Public Procurement, Panamá Compra (www.panamacompras.gob.pa), the number of public act 2021-2-03-0-08-LV-008104, corresponding to the Tender Document for the bidding of the Balboa Shipyard Operation, which includes the renovation, development and administration of the only facility in the entire Pacific region, which has a dry dock with the capacity to serve Panamax vessels.

This publication has the objective of reaching the largest number of proposals by interested companies, both national and foreign, that comply with all the administrative, financial, technical and legal requirements established to fully reactivate the shipyard’s operations and modernize its facilities, for the benefit of the best interests of the State. Also, the process of transparency and participation promoted by the National Government is guaranteed.

We recognize the direct impact on the national economy that the complete reactivation of this asset will entail, by promoting the creation of direct and indirect jobs, in addition to providing a response to our clients who require auxiliary services, as well as the ships that transit our coasts and arrive at our ports.

The entire maritime conglomerate will be empowered with the total reactivation of the Balboa Shipyard.
